Influenced by the likes of Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms and Hot Water Music, BAD IDEAS have taken shades of American punk and blended it with indie rock and folk to assert themselves as one of the most unique-sounding bands around. Driven by Sam Cook’s poignant lyrics, infinitely singable hooks and and forceful guitar.

‘Murder Of Gods’ (2012), the band’s fantastic debut full-length, was met with high praise from critics and fans alike. The album also spawned three incredible videos, all of which have amassed thousands of views online.
The success of their debut - as well as the self-released EP ‘Dear Regret’ (2010) - spurred the band on even more, allowing them to clock up over 100 shows across the UK and Europe, which includes supporting the likes of Into It. Over It., The Flatliners, Chris Wollard & The Ship Thieves and A Wilhelm Scream.

The band now plan to build on this success with ‘Compromise’. The band’s second album sees the band becoming more of a collective force than a singer/songwriter and a backing band; something which undoubtedly makes Sam Cook’s songs as well-rounded and fully realised as they need to be.
